Introducing Deadly Rigs™- Texas Rig Non-Lead Decoy Weights, the first floater rigging with non-lead weights. 

 

These Texas rig decoy weights feature a loop under the decoys’ heads for easy attachment. Grab the decoy by the head, locate the loop at the keel, and insert a carabiner through the loop. Our logo is embossed on two sides of the weights. Made of cast iron and powder-coated, these weights are a lead-free alternative for environmentally conscious hunters. The barrel swivel snap allows easy attachment of the decoy line to your duck or goose floaters. The PVC-coated stainless steel cable lines are durable and superior to monofilament lines.

 

We are probably like you; over our long waterfowling career, we have used many versions of decoy weights with different lines. My first weights were the strap lead weights that you wrapped around the head and dropped the decoy into a decoy bag. We also have used mushrooms, j-hook, egg, and probably more types of weights. They all came with different line types. Twisted, braided, rubber Bungie (you’ll take an eye out with these), and monofilament. We have bought and made all different types and brands. It wasn’t until we used PVC-coated cable that I was happy with the line. It works well and stays flexible even in very cold conditions.
