Description

Deadly Decoys® Flyer Pole Kit Driver assists hunters in efficiently driving their flyer poles into hard or frozen ground. Until now, the best option was to carry a 3 lb hammer to pound the pole into the ground. This method flares the end of the pole. Eventually, over time, you have to cut about a 1/2 inch of the pole off to remove that flared end.

Flyer Pole Kit Driver eliminates that flaring because the walls of the driver won’t allow it. It works like a post-hole driver to drive T-posts for a fence.

The Flyer Pole Kit Driver is 16″ long and made of heavy-duty 1/2″ round x 11 gauge steel tubing. It is small enough to carry in a large blind bag or backpack. The finish is powder-coated RED. It could have been black or some other earthy tone, but RED is less likely to be lost. If you don’t like red, a can of spray paint will change the color to whatever you want it to be.

The original samples of these drivers arrived in January 2024. There were two versions, one with a handle and our current design without a handle. We opted for the one without a handle not because it cost less to make, but the deciding factor was the one with the handle was hard on your little finger. Frankly, it hurt! On a day when the temperature was -12 that night, we drove a flyer pole into the ground over 18″ deep. That is much farther than necessary, but we tend to overdo our testing.
